¡Quiénes Somos!

At Cultural Banana Tour, we offer immersive and educational rural tourism experiences that celebrate the cultural, agricultural, and social richness of Sarapiquí, Costa Rica.

Our mission goes far beyond tourism. We work to preserve ancestral knowledge, promote food sovereignty, and empower women and youth through education and entrepreneurship. Each experience we offer is designed to tell the story of our land, our traditions, and the people who make this region thrive.

As part of the tour, visitors also have the opportunity to explore the Uka Costa Rica micro-factory, located on-site. There, guests learn how we transform green bananas into high-quality banana flour, an innovative, gluten-free product that supports local economic development and reduces food waste. This unique agro-industrial process combines sustainability, technology, and tradition—and is proudly led by rural women.

Visitors don’t just observe—they participate, taste, and connect. Whether walking through the banana fields, enjoying a traditional meal, or learning about circular production models, they gain a deeper understanding of how rural communities like ours are building a more just, inclusive, and sustainable future.

We are proud to be part of Costa Rica’s rural tourism and innovation movement, inviting conscious travelers to experience culture, farming, and community resilience firsthand.
